Using the Centre
Our Activity Centre is specifically designed for people with a disability and has a range of specialist equipment including overhead tracking and hoists, to give full access to all areas for those with limited mobility.
To use our facilities, you must first become a member. Membership is free, and can be done simply by downloading and completing our application form. If you prefer, you can request a membership form by ringing the centre, or collect one from our staff at reception.
Once your membership is complete, you can begin enjoying everything the centre has to offer - although we do ask that you book your sessions in advance.
Your Alan Shearer Activity Centre membership gives you free use of our:
Creative sound & music room
Gardens and grounds

Come along and enjoy seasonal crafts and social events ranging from pastimes and performances to dinners and discos. There's always something exciting to do - whether it's learning new skills or enjoying organised activities with friends.
Our informal courses run from 11am to 1pm on Tuesdays, while Wednesday and Thursday 1pm to 3pm are dedicated cooking slots. Contact us for more details or to book your place.
