Dignity Action Day 2022

Tree model at Parkhead

Today, as we mark Dignity Action Day across St Cuthbert’s Care, our staff, residents and guests have come together, following social distancing measures, of course, to promote dignity in care.

People across our services chose their own way to celebrate the day and, as always, our day was filled with creativity and fun.

At the Alan Shearer Centre we created a fantastic Dignity Tree with the branches gathered after storm Malick.  Residents, staff, guests and volunteers were all invited to leave messages on the tree for everyone to read.

“As always, our services have gone the extra mile,” said Amanda Head, Director of Care.

“Our ongoing commitment to outstanding care is upheld by our Dignity Champions, present in each and every one of our services. They act as ambassadors to ensure dignity and respect are at the forefront of everything we do. They pave the way to excellence by promoting best practice and making sure we deliver genuine person-centred care.”
