Alan Shearer Activity Centre bears up

It was like a trip through the 100 Acre Wood when visitors set out on a bear-hunt adventure at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre!

Bears of all shapes and sizes turned up for their picnic when Debbie Ray, our activities coordinator, invited visitors to join in a sing-along, hear tall tales and play under a colourful parachute canopy. After all the exertion a picnic box in the marquee helped satisfy some hungry bear appetites!

"Haydan has loved today- the walk around the gardens was lovely and he giggled all the way through the singing, well done for putting this on," said his mum.

The Teddy Bears' Picnic was part of this year's special summer activities programme at the Alan Shearer Centre designed for disabled children and adults.
