Great raffle prizes up for grabs

July 2013

The Alan Shearer Foundation is the adopted charity of Samson Aviation

An iPad Mini, return flights from Newcastle to Aberdeen and M&S vouchers are among the fabulous prizes on offer in a raffle organised by Samson Aviation to raise funds for the Alan Shearer Foundation.

The draw will take place at a Community Day on Saturday 27 July being held at the Newcastle Airport’s private jet facility grounds to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Sunderland Air Show. Many aircraft taking part use Samson as a base for the event, including the Red Arrows, who will be starting the display at 1pm, and an RAF Typhoon which will be taking off at 4.45pm.

Samson is opening its land to the public for the first time for great views of aircraft taking off and landing. The site opens at 12.30pm. To help raise funds for its adopted charity, the Alan Shearer Foundation, a £5 per vehicle entry fee will be made which includes entry into a draw to win a trial flying lesson with Northumbria Flying School.

Refreshment stalls will be set up on the site, which can be accessed only from the airport freight road off the B6918.

Raffle tickets, priced at £1 each are available now from St Cuthberts Care’s head office. Contact Nicola Milne on 0191 228 0111.
Winners will be announced on the Alan Shearer Foundation and Samson websites.
