A wish token

Coupon clipping supporters of the Alan Shearer Foundation have helped raise over £300 from the Evening Chronicle's Wish 12 competition.

The Chronicle has converted local charities' token collections into cash for good causes and this year the Alan Shearer Foundation has received £303.37. The funds donated will go towards the Alan Shearer Foundation's £250,000 annual target, which is used to help provide free sensory facilities and subsidised respite places at the Alan Shearer Centre and further develop St Cuthberts Care's disability provision in the North East.

Centre manager, Jennifer Taylor, said: "Many thanks to everyone who has donated their Chronicle Wish tokens to the Alan Shearer Foundation. Free access to our facilities hugely enhances the lives of our disabled members and their families. We really appreciate everyone's support."
