Ventriloquist Eileen entertains at the Alan Shearer Centre

There was monster fun to be had by all at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre during the half term break … And the entertainment is set to continue as we launch our November / December special events programme.

The visit by Eileen and her ventriloquist act this Halloween was frightfully good. In a show packed with variety and great characters Aunty Eileen had the audience in stiches – and in wigs and costumes! The popular act is set to return to the Centre at Christmas for some festive frolics.

Meanwhile our ghoulish parties for children and adults were a spooky success and will be followed this week with a Bonfire Bonanza party on Wednesday 5 November. There will be arts and crafts, games and competitions along with a make-your-own toffee apple stall. Hot dogs and popcorn will be available for those who have ignited their appetite at the free event which takes place from 1pm to 4pm. It's set to be a sizzling good time for everyone so call us on 0191 267 8118 to book a place.

To find out about all our other events taking place this half term see our Free Winter Events leaflet or call the Centre for more details.
