Still more fun to come at the Alan Shearer Centre

24 August 2015

Mr Windbags entertains

It may be drawing near the end of the summer holidays but there's plenty more fun in store at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre.

As we look forward to the August Bank Holiday Weekend there are a couple of crafty sessions to inspire some creative expression this week.

On Tuesday 25 August we are inviting budding Vivienne Westwoods and Bruce Oldfields to "make a statement" in our t-shirt designing day. While on Wednesday 26 August you can give life to another garment by joining us to make sock puppets!

There's an hour of fun and games on Saturday 29 August when we start the weekend with a treasure hunt around the Activity Centre. Bank Holiday Monday sees the return of the ever popular children's entertainer, Mr Windbags, with his mixture of magic, balloon modelling and comedy capers.

There are still some extra events in our timetable for the first week of September, just before school terms start again, so join us on Tuesday 1st when we'll be making some sweet treats.

All events are free for our members and their families and run from noon until 1pm. To find out more and book your place contact the Activity Centre on 0191 267 8118 or see our latest events leaflet for details.
