The spirit of Christmas was certainly alive in the region when acts of kindness from a variety of sources were welcomed by St Cuthberts Care this week.

As we celebrate epiphany, when the three wise men visited the baby Jesus with gifts 12 days after his birth, St Cuthberts Care is giving thanks for some big-hearted contributions to our services over the Christmas period.

A string of generous gestures during the festive season included:

"We are uplifted and heartened by the offers of support we receive from businesses, schools and individuals who want to help those who are less fortunate at this time of year," says St Cuthberts Care Chief Executive, Moira Ashman.

"We are also thankful to those people who make regular donations to our charity and support our fundraisers as well as those who volunteer for us and give their time freely. We are truly grateful for their help, year round."
