Let's make an indoor snowman!

Adults with learning disabilities attending our Live and Learn skills and activity sessions at the Alan Shearer Centre had great fun building their very own snowman – and there wasn't a snowflake in sight!

The creative group of Live and Learners raided the Centre's craft box to find all the right materials to make their own sock-snowman. Stuffed with dried rice and individually decorated with buttons, hats and scarves, every snowman was a unique work of art.

But their artistic talents didn't stop there. Each person made a Christmas card with its own, exclusive design, too.

"Everyone was as proud as Punch with the end result," said Alan Shearer Centre Recreation Assistant, Yvonne Leonard.
