Christmas crafts sparkle

Making Christmas crafts

Some of our regular Alan Shearer Activity Centre members are streets ahead with their Yuletide preparations after attending the Centre's first Christmas craft activity.

Robins, Christmas crackers, baubles and snowflakes all featured in some fabulously festive pictures which our members proudly showed off at the end of the session.

"Christmas is a great time to pile on the glitter, sequins and anything else that sparkles," said one of our Centre's recreation assistants, Jan Rootham. "We've got lots more fun lined up for Christmas, so if you missed out on the crafts, there's still a packed programme of free fun to look forward to."

Coming up in the next few weeks there's a chance to make a bird feeder for the Centre's Woodland Walk, an advent calendar to help with your Christmas countdown and a chance to enjoy a special festive treat in Browne's café, too.
