Artistic Endeavour

December 2011

The Alan Shearer Activity Centre was delighted to welcome thirteen girls from Sacred Heart High School, who were visiting especially to donate original artwork they had recently produced.

The girls, from year seven, came to the Centre with five pieces of beautiful artwork that they had created for the Centre during their art lessons.

Nicola Milne, School/Parish Liaison Executive complimented the girls on their achievements, adding: "we will make sure that we find a very special place to display these beautiful pictures".

The girls also had time to try out the Alan Shearer Activity Centre ball pool, and take a walk around its extensive sensory gardens.

St Cuthberts Care is delighted to report that Sacred Heart High School has named it as charity of the year for year seven. The class are planning lots of activities in order to raise funds, and we look forward to reporting on all their efforts in the coming months.

If you or your school would like to get involved with St Cuthberts Care or the Alan Shearer Activity Centre, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Nicola Milne on: 0191 228 0111.
