The Young Social Entrepreneur Competition is launching once again and we are looking for sixth-form students from the North East with drive and determination to take part.

Our unique social enterprise competition is now in its third year; promising to be bigger and better than ever, with increased business support and even more prizes to be won.

As always each team will receive £250 seed money along with support, advice and encouragement. In turn we ask the teams to use their creativity and business skills to return a healthy profit within the allotted time, with all of the proceeds going directly to The Alan Shearer Foundation.

The team who has raised the most for the Foundation will be named the overall winner by Alan Shearer himself when he presents the awards at a special ceremony in July 2013.
