Songs and laughter with the ever popular Puppets

Some of audience meet The Puppets

Back by popular demand, puppeteer, Clare Cooper, has once again had the crowd singing and laughing at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre.

Her whacky, colourful characters performed to a soundtrack of sing-along tunes - most familiar, others chosen for their easy-to-learn choruses. With her stage set up in the reception area, her audience quickly grew as even members who had come to use the ballpool and other facilities couldn't resist stopping to watch the show.

It was a perfect way to keep kids of all ages entertained during the holidays, as this comment in the visitors' book shows: “Fabulous resources and great fun activities where children can be themselves. A great relief and a lifesaver for parents.”

A list of forthcoming events and activities is always available on the Alan Shearer Centre website. Simply visit to view or download a leaflet.
