Our services often exchange thoughtful little gifts, so, when craft and cookery sessions at our Alan Shearer Centre produced some goodies to spare, they were quickly dispatched to our nursing home in Sunderland.
Cheery bird sculptures, made during a focus on bird watching at the Alan Shearer Centre, were soon winging their way to our Holy Cross residents, as were tasty jars of homemade apple sauce and plum jam – both made from fruit collected from the Centre’s grounds.
“The gifts were a lovely surprise,” said Holy Cross Operations Manager, Michelle. “They really made our residents’ day and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Centre for their kindness.”
