The animals went in two by two

Guests at our Alan Shearer Activity Centre enjoyed a wealth of sensory experiences when Angela’s Ark popped along with an assortment of animals to hold.

The warm fur of the rabbits and guinea pigs was made for stroking and cuddling, but there were a few other species that needed a little bit of courage to pick up or touch.

“There was no shortage of takers, though,” said Recreation Assistant, Pauline. “I was surprised at how popular the snakes and lizards were and even the massive bullfrog, Boris, got a little love and attention.”

The prize for bravery has to go to Sarah, though, who happily allowed a huge python to sit on her head.

We’d probably have been hiss-terical!
